Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani to go off air short while after Sartaj Gill and Eisha Singh start the fourth season as Raja and Rani

Zee TV’s Ek Tha Raja EK Thi Rani has managed to entertain the viewers since the past 1 year and 9 months but finally, the makers are planning to take the show off air.

The latest news coming around suggests that ETRETR is all set to go off air form 28th of April 2017. This news has come as a big surprise since the show has recently taken a time leap with the introduction of a completely new storyline. Initially, the show was set against the background of pre-independence era and was based on the love story of a Kinga and a commoner. The role of the King was played by Siddhanth Karnick while the leading lady was Drashti Dhami.

However, the show did not manage to rake in the required rating and therefore the makers went in for a time leap with the introduction of Eisha Singh and Sartaj Gill in leading roles. After a few months, the second season also ended and the same actors returned in the 3rd season with a revamp in their roles showing the love story of a Don and an actress. However, just recently, the show has taken another time leap with the lead actors playing the role of a rich girl Rani and her bodyguard Raja.

Although it was expected that this season would easily last for the next few months, the sudden news has come about which suggest that the show will be going off air. Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani had decent rating so far and therefore the reason for the show being pulled off was not clear. However, it has been revealed that the makes of the show did not want to stretch the storyline any further and this is why they decided to end it.
