One of the most awaited films of the year, Sultan has hit the theaters and undoubtedly it is a full on entertaining watch. The film is directed by Filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar who has previously dished out well known films like Meri Brother Ki Dulhan and Gunday. The film is produced by big banner Yash Raj films and the head honcho Aditya Chopra has also worked on the screenplay himself.
The star of the film Salman Khan has been working hard on this film since a long time and has been sees in his wrestler look over the last few months. Salman’s efforts have finally paid off as the film has been given thumbs up by critics well as audiences. The story of the film revolves around the protagonist Sultan Ali Khan who hails from Haryana and strives to become a well-known wrestler. Sultan manages to gain money, fame, respect and basks in the glory of his stardom for a long time. However, one fine day, all of Sultan, stardom and glory comes crashing down and the sportsman’s career starts to dwindle.
Sultan realizes that that his fame and aura was only temporary and he cannot get back his golden days. However, Sultan struggles to relive his days of glory and works hard to become the ultimate wresting champion once again. Helping Sultan to revive his career is Anushka Sharma’s character who sports enough of spunk and charisma to charm the audiences.
The film also has a fight sequence between well renowned wrestler Kurt Angle and Sultan which adds a good dose of entertainment for the audiences. The film is packed with high points and keeps the audiences captivated throughout its run time of 2 hours and 50 minutes. Salman Khan is undoubtedly the main attraction of the film and his star power manages to overpower the other elements of the film. Sultan is a must watch for fans of Salman Khan and others who have been keenly awaiting an entertaining Masala flick.
